The days are growing longer and the temperatures are rising. Summer is almost here! The new season is great for spending time outdoors, whether it’s relaxing poolside, going for a bike ride, or practicing yoga on the lawn. We wanted to share some tips for how to work on your summer fitness at Abberly Woods:
Outdoor Workouts: Outdoor fitness is still enjoyable in the summer! Try scheduling your outdoor activities outside of 10 am to 5 pm, when temperatures are at their highest. You’ll find cooler temperatures during the early morning and closer to sunset. When you’re ready to cool off, enjoy a leisurely and refreshing swim in not one but two pools at Abberly Woods!
Protect Your Skin: If you’re heading outside, grab a hat to keep your head cool and the sun off your face. Make sure to lather up with sunscreen! Using a sunscreen that’s at least SPF 45 and reapplying every two hours will keep your skin from burning.
Indoor Workouts: As temperatures climb higher and higher, indoor workouts can be more practical. At Abberly Woods, you can enjoy an indoor workout at one of two state-of-the art fitness centers on site! In addition to cardio and weigh training equipment, Abberly Woods also offers a Pilates/stretching room.
